COONAWARRA WINE GALLERY MEMBERS CLUB NEWSLETTER

June 2007

Winter is upon us, cool nights, misty mornings and at last rain. Yes it’s finally raining in Coonawarra, perfect timing for our vineyards to rejuvenate as the pruning season begins. Also perfect weather to cosy up and enjoy some of our classic wines which we have in our special offer this month. A fantastic offer on the Lindemans Trio range and a Jamiesons Run Limited Release Merlot, just to name a few.

The Penola/Coonawarra Arts Festival was held in May and attracted thousands of art enthusiasts to the region. At the Coonawarra Wine Gallery we displayed a photographic exhibition which was viewed by many who also enjoyed our cheese plates and of course wine. The exhibition will continue here for June and July and is worth a look if you happen to be in the region.

COMING EVENTS

Coonawarra Cellar Dwellers 2007
This event runs for the month of July and is a great opportunity to taste and buy sometimes hard to find aged wines. Here at the Gallery, our cellar dweller will be Mildara Cabernet. Originally dubbed "Peppermint Pattie", the 1963 release of Mildara Cabernet portrayed unique characters of mint and chocolate. Throughout July, we will have several past vintages of this classic cabernet available for tasting and sales. We will also offer our speciality cheese plates and coffee.

If you would like more information on this event, please forward all enquiries to our email address: Coonawarra.Wine.Gallery@FostersGroup.com or phone 08 8737 3250.

Look forward to hearing from you and maybe seeing you here at the Gallery in the coming months.

Cheers,
Tony, Kim, Di and Kerri
